With the end of school comes all the inevitable end of shcool programs, field-trips, programs, and more field-trips. It seems we've run from one event to the next the past couple of weeks, but it's been a lot of fun to see the kids perform, etc. Here's a few pictures from the recent activities.
Ty's pre-school program. They had a Luau theme.

Watching paint dry
For weeks now I've been nervous about Tristyns softball that was coming up. I'm the coach and this is the first year that the girls pitch, which I've been worried about. I was talking to a friend and he said that most likely it will be similar to watching paint dry because there would be so many walks, etc. Well the night finally came for our first game and I was pleasantly surprised for three innings. Then in the fourth our pitcher got tired and asked to come out and the replacement struggled a little with her control. I didn't know this but apparently in rec ball there is no limit to how many times you can go through the lineup, nor is there a limit to how many runs can be scored in one inning. I've actually seen paint dry faster than we got out of that inning. It didn't help that the coach of the other team told her girls not to swing at ANYTHING! ( If I meet that coach in a dark alley....) Anyway the second game was better as the pitchers start to get the hang of things so the paint seems to be drying a lot faster now.

Busy Weekend
We had a busy weekend between Tristyns clogging competition and the Ogden Marathon. Tristyn did so good! She had nationals down at Lagoon on Friday and Saturday. Her and Tracey were down there all day both days. She had to do her dances several different times. On her team dances she came away with a first place high gold and a second place high gold. On her duet she got a second place high gold. On her solos she got three first place finishes and two second place finishes. We were so proud of her. She works so hard to be her best. Awesome job Tristyn!
Tyler and I ran our second marthon on Saturday. It was the Ogden Marathon that started up by red rock, ran down Ogden Canyon and finished on 25th and Grant. I really enjoyed the course and we couldn't have asked for better weather. I was able to cut about 34 minutes off of my last time so I was pleased with the run overall.
Ty and my Mom were waiting at the finish line. Ty said "Good job Dad! Can I wear your necklace now?" He just wanted to wear the medal they give you at the end. It made me laugh which is good because it takes your mind off the feeling of wanting to throw up. But that's what Exercise buddies are for. He was a good trainer.

Fish Stories
The other day Terry and I got to leave work for a couple of hours to go fishing with Ty and Kailee for their pre-school field trip. We went down to the coldwater fish farm in North Ogden. You're pretty much guaranteed a fish there. We had a good time and the kids were able to catch a few fish each. Ty caught the biggest one of the day, it was as long as my whole thigh.

Exercise buddy for hire
Getting bored of the same old exercise routine? Finding it hard to stay motivated for that less than challenging aerobics class? Do you think that being able to breathe while exercising is just way too easy? Well we have the solution for you. Give us a call now and you can rent the new and improved exercise buddy. The old exercise buddy would simply sit on your belly and hold still, but the new and improved exercise buddy throws a whole new twist into that boring routine.
You thought Chuck Norris was tough on you, try exercising with somebody sitting on your throat, or stepping on your face or other tender regions. That's right for a limited time this exercise buddy can be yours and if you call now we'll make sure he eats a few too many grapes for that extra gas that will really add an extra degree of difficulty. Just in time for summer, three 20 minute sessions a week and you'll have that body you've always dreamed of. Call now before it's too late as there are limited time slots available.

Not exactly Mary Poppins
This is what happens when you give two independent four-year olds, that insist on doing it themselves, a kite. It was quite comical. Kind of like watching two neutered dogs trying to mate (okay bad example but you get the point).
