Aloha Kauai

We had the opportunity to go to Hawaii last week, and had a hard time coming back. Tracey and I think we've found where we want to retire. Here's a few pictures of some of the fun we had. Aloha!

Heading out. I was across the aisle in half a seat (the lady next to me got the other half).

Getting "Lei-ed" as we arrive.

We loved the ocean!

This was the view from our room. I don't think I would ever get bored with that. It was incredible.

This little guy was waiting in our toilet when we arrived. When we told them about it they just switched us rooms. Tracey thought it was an air-freshner at first and nearly sat on him.

We're covering up the seal that was laying out on the beach behind us. Every day it would come and just hang out on the beach.

This is at the end of a little river cruise. I guess a lot of Hawaiians go there to get married. I think it was called the grotta gardens.

This is a waterslide that was at the hotel. The kids could have spent all week just playing at the hotel.

We were told this is the waterfall from the t.v. show "Fantasy Island".

That's a lighthouse in the distance. The scenery on the island was unbelievable.

Going for a kayak ride

Learning to Hula at the Luau

These are some guys Tracey and Tristyn picked up at the Luau-(ask Tracey about their bums)

Learning to surf

burying Dad

Just chilling in a hammock

Here's a snorkeling boat ride we went on. We saw all kinds of fun stuff like whales (one that swam right under the boat and jumped out of the water right next to us), tons of dolphins, sea turtles, awesome scenery of the Napali coast line. The only problem was I missed most of it because I was throwing up for the entire trip.

Going on a "backcountry" river tube adventure.

Okay--so I am leaving another comment. WOW--what a fun trip! I am so jealous. We can't go out with you guys until Nick and I get a spray on tan:)

Okay Tracey, I want to know about those half naked guys you found at the luau......and where was Tom during all of this? Looks like you guys had a ton of fun :) I am soooo jealous! Btw, I agree with Jamie....I feel like I need a tan just to be in your presence.

I don't need a tan to be in your presence (like the froerers or the Dunns)........I am so white i look bluish......so technically I do have a little color. This trip looks so fun!!! The warm, sand and sun sounds delightful right now as the snow is falling in Eden. Next time I say group trip!!!

Tom and Ty were chasing hula girls while Tracey and Tristyn were chasing the Hawaiian boys and trying to pinch their bums.

Did you see the guys that throw the fire in the ar and catch it? I think that is cool. I like to call it Playing With Fire.
